One characteristic of a cancerian is their loony sense of humor. They also find themselves saying, “well, it seemed like a good idea at the time…”. A lot. Drew Barrymore has experienced some ups and downs in the relationship department but she does shine with good taste in the jewelry department. Her engagement ring to Tom Green was from Tiffany’s and her most recent ex, Justin Long, was seen shopping for engagement rings for her at Cartiers (she reportedly dumped him recently).

Here’s the perfect wedding ring for a cancer: it’s fun, yet it is inspired by a classic Tiffany’s design (Cancers also love tradition and dependability). Cancerian Drew Barrymore seems to favor the simpler, less showy designs – so this would fit right in.

Two other famous Cancers and an undisputed part of rock n roll history, Cobain gave Love a 5 karat diamond and ruby engagement ring (tragically for Love, it was then stolen on Valentine’s Day one year after his death). I couldn’t find any pictures of the original ring, but here is a 2 karat diamond and ruby ring that I would personally love!

The birthstone for Cancers is the ruby (one of my favorite gemstones of all time). And the symbol for cancer is the crab…

What kind of earrings suit your hair, your face, your personality? The earrings she’s wearing fit right in with her dress to give her an overall look that says glamour gal all the way. She looks like she’s having a great time, too, and sincere laughter is always the best accessory!
Marilyn Monroe, oops I mean, Drew Barrymore looks positively naughty here with her tousled hair, disheveled-looking dress and kittenish smirk. The earrings complete the look perfectly. Long earrings also lengthen her round face and big hair so that she doesn’t end up looking like the mother-in-law from Everybody Loves Raymond.

Also, you don’t want to over-accessorize: if you are wearing a big necklace you probably shouldn’t wear big earrings, too. The picture of Cate Blanchett (below) is a perfect example. I’m not a big fan of the necklace choice but it does sort of suit her and that’s the point after all – jewelry should express your personality.
Hoop earrings are a great, young look – as seen here on Hilary Duff and Rhianna. They work well with long hair (pulled back) as well as very short hair. Avoid wearing large hoop earrings if you aren’t as fresh-faced as these girls, unless you are working out of a tent at the local carnival telling fortunes, of course…

I don’t always love her movie roles but I can’t help but like Julia Roberts, she seems like a nice person. She is definitely beautiful but manages not to be intimidating at the same time.

I have no idea what John Cusack is like in real life either but if he’s anything then most of his movie roles… melting… I’m also pretty sure he’s responsible for giving his awesome sister Joan roles in all of his movies.

Everyone’s imaginary best friend (oh, is that just me?), Drew Barrymore has got to be kind of goofy but really nice in real life.

Eva Longoria may be a Desperate Housewife but she certainly does not strike me as your typical ‘girl next door’ type…

Talking about girls next door…
Fast-talking, Rachel Ray is more nachos and breakfast burrittos than sweet candy and pastries. She’s kind of sweet, but also pretty cheeky so I’m putting her in the tart category. She’s the kind of girl that guys across the country would love to spend Valentine’s Day with: ordering in a pizza and then participating in good old-fashioned sofa rugby.

Mr and Mrs Pop Tart, always preening for the camera… if we didn’t see Mr Pop Tart playing soccer then I’d wonder if perhaps this plastic-looking couple were just amazing CGI…

Let’s face it, Gossip Girls is hot. Gossip Girls is the only show I watch every week. I like other shows but I refuse to allow myself to schedule my life around them – so until I get a Tivo, Monday nights are the only nights I have to stay home (at least between 8 and 9). My husband watches it, too. We are both fascinated with bad boy Chuck Bass. He is horrible and very amusing at the same time – one of the best characters to hit TV.
By the way, the British actor who plays Bass, Ed Westwick, is pretty kick ass in my books as well: he was apparently making out with Drew Barrymore at a Kings of Leon concert day before yesterday!
